HOW TO APPLY FOR AN APPLICATION ELECTIVE 

Everyone MUST complete the respective application(s) linked below to be considered for any application elective. 
 
The application window for all Leadership Application Electives (ASB/PAL, Yearbook and BNN (Video Production), School Service (Office/Library Aide) is March 6, 2025 - March 16, 2025 for all current students. More information will be provided to incoming 6th graders in April. 
 
All students applying for an application elective will be considered to have the application elective(s) as their first choice and if selected will have the application elective automatically replace any other elective choices that are selected on the Parent Portal and Elective Form.
 
Late applications will not be considered. 
 
 
NOTE: Only users within CUSD may access online applications. You must be logged into your CUSD account.

HOW TO APPLY TO ASB/PAL

Students who wish to apply for a place in ASB/PAL must complete the online Leadership Application.  
 
Note: All students applying for ASB/PAL will be considered to have ASB/PAL as their first choice and if selected will have ASB/PAL automatically replace any other elective choices that are selected on the Parent Portal and Elective Form.
 
Students will not apply directly to ASB or PAL- there is one application for both. A task-based interview process will be used to identify students best suited for ASB or PAL.

2025-26 7th/8th Gr Leadership Elective Application (ASB/PAL) - For 2025-26 rising 7/8th grade students only!
 
2025-26 6th Gr Leadership Elective Application (ASB/PAL) - For 2025-26 rising 6th grade students only!
 
Applications are due no later than March 16, 2025. Late applications will not be considered.
 
Teacher Recommendations
Students are not required to request teacher recommendations. These will be sent directly to the ASB/PAL advisor, Mrs. Turner.
  
After applications are received, Mrs. Turner will set up an interview task with the applicants. See Application Process linked above for more information.

HOW TO APPLY TO YEARBOOK

Please complete the Yearbook Application by the deadline in addition to requesting teacher recommendations as described below:
 
 
Due no later than March 16, 2025. Late applications will not be considered.
 
Students must request One (1) teacher recommendation (must be from a core teacher - English, Math, Science or Social Science.)
 
Please print off this Yearbook Teacher Recommendation Form and provide to your teacher to complete or pick up a copy of the Pink Form from Mrs. Smathers. 
 
Application due dates are March 16, 2025.  
 
Note: All students applying for Yearbook will be considered to have Yearbook as their first choice and if selected will have Yearbook automatically replace any other elective choices that are selected on the Parent Portal and Elective Form.
 
After applications are received, Mrs. Smathers will set up an interview with the applicants.

Please complete the Video Production (BNN) Application by the deadline in addition to requesting teacher recommendations as described below:

Students must request one teacher recommendation.
 
Please print off this BNN Teacher Recommendation Form and provide to your teacher to complete.
 
Application due dates are March 16th 2025.

Note: All students applying for BNN will be considered to have BNN as their first choice and if selected will have BNN automatically replace any other elective choices that are selected on the Parent Portal and Elective Form.

HOW TO APPLY FOR A SCHOOL SERVICE -OFFICE AID POSITION

Students who are interested in a School Service position (Office Aide/Library Aide) must complete the Application linked below. School Service interviews will take place in April.  Applications are open from March 6, 2025 - March 16, 2025. These positions are only available to 7/8th grade students. If selected, this will replace your elective choice unless you elect to take a zero period and serve as an Office or Library Aide as an additional class.

Teacher Recommendations
Students will list teachers for recommendations.  Mrs. Miller will contact the teacher directly for the recommendation.
 
After applications are received, Mrs. Miller will set up an interview with the applicants.
