HOW TO APPLY FOR AN APPLICATION ELECTIVE (LEADERSHIP)

Everyone MUST complete the respective application(s) linked below to be considered for any application/leadership elective. 
 
The application window for  all leadership electives (ASB/PAL, Yearbook and BNN) is February 23, 2023 - March 5, 2023 for all current students. More information will be provided to incoming 6th graders in April. 
 
Office Aid applications (7/8th grades only) are due by April 30, 2023.
 
Late applications will not be considered. 
 
Please see the information for each application on how to apply in each section below.
 
NOTE: Only users within CUSD may access online applications. You must be logged into your CUSD account.
HOW TO APPLY TO ASB/PAL

HOW TO APPLY TO ASB/PAL

Students who wish to apply for a place in ASB or PAL must complete the online Leadership Application.  If selected for an application elective, this course will automatically replace any other elective choices that are selected on the Parent Portal and Elective Form.
  
Students will not apply directly to ASB or PAL- there is one application for both. A task-based interview process will be used to identify students best suited for ASB or PAL. 
 
2023-24 Leadership Form Application - For 2023-24 rising 7/8th grade students only!!
 
Due no later than March 5, 2023. Late applications will not be considered.
 
Teacher Recommendations
Students are not required to request teacher recommendations. These will be sent directly to the ASB/PAL teacher - Mrs. Vollebregt.
  
After applications are received, Mrs Vollebregt will set up an interview task for applicants.

NOTE: Information for interested Incoming 6th Grade students will be posted sometime in May.

Please complete the Yearbook Application by the deadline in addition to requesting teacher recommendations as described below:
 
 
Due no later than March 5, 2023. Late applications will not be considered.
 
Students must request three (3) teacher recommendations (at least one from a core teacher - English or Social Science;  Math or Science).
 
Please print off this Yearbook Teacher Recommendation Form and provide to your teachers to complete or pick up a copies of the Pink Form from Mrs. Cummings or the front office. 
 
Application due dates are noted above
 
After applications are received, Mrs. Cummings will set up an interview for applicants.

Please complete the Video Production (BNN) Application by the deadline in addition to requesting teacher recommendations as described below:
 
Teacher Recommendation Form
Students must request two (2) teacher recommendations (at least one from a core teacher - English or Social Science;  Math or Science).
 
Please print off this BNN Teacher Recommendation Form and provide to your teachers to complete.
 
Application due dates are noted above

HOW TO APPLY FOR A SCHOOL SERVICE -OFFICE AID POSITION

Students who are interested in School Service (Office Aid) must School Service Application as above. School Office Aides interviews will not take place until May. Applications are open from February 25th - April 30th. These positions are only available to 7/8th grade students. If selected, this will replace your elective choice unless you elect to take a zero period and serve as an Office Aid as an additional class.

Students should list teachers for recommendations but we will request the recommendation directly from teachers selected in your request.
